Biography
A second-generation Italian, Angelo (Mitch) Bonaventura was born in Mackay and transferred to Brisbane in 1987 while working for Ansett Airlines. He has over 35 years’ experience in the aviation industry having worked in both private and public sectors. His holds qualifications in Project Management and Business which helped support the positions he held with Brisbane Airport Corporation, Sunshine Coast Airport and the Queensland Government. Mitch recently joined ANFE Committee and said “I wouldn’t have what I have today if it wasn’t for my ancestors who migrated from Sicily for a better life in Australia. They made many sacrifices along their journey, and I want to contribute back to the community to help support our Italian heritage and connections and look forward to passing this onto my grandchildren”.
